I am currently a 3rd year Fine Art student. I’m specialising in oil painting. The ground I most like, is canvas pad. I like the glossy effect achieved, when linseed oil is mixed to a pigment. My work can be semi - abstract, abstract. I have an interest in portraiture.
In my paintings, I like to apply the pigment, quite thickly. I observe shape, line and pattern, colour. Because I’m interested in exploring gender issues, I’ve started a series of semi abstract portraits, called ‘ The Bohemian Girls ‘. These are representations of women from different cultures, colour. I write poetry, and love drawing.
